SUBLETTE AREA SPILL SITE CHARACTERIZATION & CLEANUP

Lowham Walsh conducted spill site characterization and assisted in cleanup of contaminated materials on a well pad site in the Sublette County, WY area.  Duties included assisting the operator with reporting requirements to the Wyoming Department of Environmental Quality and Bureau of Land Management (BLM), and leading the soil sampling investigation and contaminant analyses, characterization, and delineation of the spill site.

PIT & RESERVOIR REMOVAL FROM WSEO SAFETY OF DAMS PROGRAM

Lowham Walsh is the only firm to have pit and reservoir reclamation plans and subsequent reclamation approved through the Wyoming State Engineer's Office (WSEO) – Safety of Dams (SOD) program. GIBBS RESERVOIR RECLAMATION PLAN

In 2010, Lowham Walsh developed a landmark reclamation plan according to newly adopted WDEQ guidelines for reservoir reclamation. This plan was the first to be submitted and approved by WDEQ, and is currently used as the regulatory standard. The approved plan was a comprehensive reclamation plan for two reservoirs, Gibbs #2 and Gibbs #6 in adjacent drainages on land owned by a private landowner. Our staff performed all necessary surveying of the existing embankments and basins, and performed depth-integrated water-quality sampling.

FREMONT COUNTY SOLID WASTE (LANDFILL) PROJECT

Lowham Walsh provides engineering and environmental services to solid waste management facilities throughout Fremont County, Wyoming. Between July 2010 and May 2011, Lowham Walsh successfully completed renewal permit applications for the Dubois and Lander Landfills, both of which had been operating without an approved permit for nearly a decade.
