FREMONT COUNTY SOLID WASTE (LANDFILL) PROJECT

Fremont County Solid Waste Disposal District

Lowham Walsh provides engineering and environmental services to solid waste management facilities throughout Fremont County, Wyoming. Between July 2010 and May 2011, Lowham Walsh successfully completed renewal permit applications for the Dubois and Lander Landfills, both of which had been operating without an approved permit for nearly a decade. The permits were submitted in accordance with stipulations mandated by WDEQ through the Environmental Quality Council, allowing the Fremont County Solid Waste District to avoid heavy impending  fines.  Our staff continues to work closely with landfill personnel, the Board of Directors of the FCSWDD, and the WDEQ/SHWD to ensure that landfill activities are conducted according to current regulatory requirements and quality engineering standards. Routine project work includes permitting, regulatory compliance oversight, and engineering analysis and design with regard to cell construction, waste placement, erosion and surface water control, excavation, and environmental monitoring.
